GENERAL DATA ABOUT THE INSTALATION Paper Weight: 40 - 140 GSM Machine speed: 400-600 m/min. Trimmed width: 4.400 mm. Capacity: 50.000 Tm/year
1.1. Historical data The PM was started in 1966 in order to produce wrapping paper from virgin pulp. The grammage range that PM was designed is 40 up to 140 gsm. The average grammage produced in the period of 1966 – 1976 was 89.2 g/m2. After the first three steps of PM modernizations made in 1977, 2002, and 2005, the average grammage produced decreased down to 56 g/m2, and lower according to the market needs. During the 1977, the stock preparation was improved. During 2002, the electric drive of the ABB AC drive machine was replaced, which created the premises for increasing capacity. During the 2005, the following PM modernizations were fulfilled: The head box Pick-up roll and wire drive roller calendar Scanner Winder Steam-condensing installation Local command panels of each PM section replaced Control room and old process calculator replaced with a new version of ABB Video Paper Machine During 2007, the following PM modernizations were fulfilled: A new IBB beam for fine cross control humidity installed A new ropes system Fourdrinier wire table modernization with ABB – new vacuum pumps, ceramics covers for the dewatering elements After this last step of modernization, the production capacity increases at 50.000 to/year and the average grammage reduced to 50 gsm. The paper machine was stopped in 2010 and stored in very good shape.
1.1. Technical and production data The PM have the following general technical data:
1.1.1. Stock preparation installation Have a short fiber pulper, discontinuous working. O not have a long fiber pulper. For this is used an pulper from another PM, which is also available for sale. The refining installation it is separate for long and short fiber. The short fiber refiner installation is composed as follows: The first step of refining have two Valmet JC-01 refiners The second refining step have 1 Metso Conflow refiner The long fiber refiner installation is composed as follows: The first step - one Sunds Defribator Suedia JC – 02 and one refiner Valmet JC – 03. The second long fier refining step have one JC-02 raffiner Finally there is one mixing refiner for the paper pulp mixed (short and long fiber).Have a three step turbionar screeners, followed by an Black – Clawson under pressure (1.5 bar) screener of 0.35 slots, before entering into the head box. The stock preparation installation have also an installation for paper mass coloring and for optical colour preparation and dosing, automatic functioning. Catonic starch installation was AWEBE furniture and they took back after the PM stopped. The same situation happens also with the Solenis preparation and dosing chemicals. The calcium carbonate installation is still there and included in furniture. The white water is treated into the Krofta installation (Kufferath furniture) in order to recover fiber and clean white water.
1.1.2. Wire table The wire tables of 14.5 m length and 4,4 m width, have the head box Valmet concept, hydraulic SymFlo M type installed in September 2005. The head box consistency is between 0,25 – 0,9 %, depending on the grammage. Wire itself have 34,5 m long. The vacuum for the wire dewatering elements is made by 2 new ventilators and one Sulzer turbo blower. The main vacuum is made by a vacuum pump of 1 MWh motor power.
1.1.3. Yet presses The first press is a reverse vacuum press. The first press has online felt conditioning installation. The consistency entering to the first press is 18 – 22% The second press is a normal vacuum press. The second press has also online felt conditioning installation. The third press is a modified Fabrik press. The second press has also online felt conditioning installation.
1.1.4. Drying section The drying section have 32 cylinders organizing in 6 section as follows: - group I – 8 cylinders; - group II – 6 cylinders; - group III – 6 cylinders; - group IV – 6 cylinders; - group V – 4 cylinders; - Cooling – 2 cylinders. The paper sheet consistency entering into the drying section is 40 – 42%. The drying section hood was modernized by Langbein Engelbracht GmbH Company. The hood was sealed and the heat exchange installation was replaced with a new one more efficient.
1.1.1. Paper finishing Before the cooling cylinders there is installed the cross humidity control beam, the way that 2σ for humidity is less than 0.5 and 2 σ for grammage is less than 0.3 After the cooling cylinders there is the soft calender, one step passing, followed by the ABB scanner for grammage and humidity. The winder is automatic roll changing, final width here is 4,2 m. The rewinder speed is 2000m/min the way that even to the maximum production capacity there are no drums waiting to be rewinded. The crane (2 x 16 to hocks) for drum changing is also into the furniture. After all the modernization steps the PM production capacity is 50.000 to/year, consuming 5 MWh of electricity and is able to produce from 30 gsm up to 150 gsm of wrapping, support, waterproof, greaseproof paper, even writing and printing paper. The driving electrical room is intact and is included in the furniture. Also the electrical room for the stock preparation.
The air compressed is assured by one single AtlasCopco compressor for the entire pulp and paper mill but can be subject of the PM furniture. In the PM area there are the necessary air compressed tanks. On the paper machine and in the storage area there are enough cloths for the first start-up, which are also included in the furniture. All the spare parts from the storage area are also included in the furniture.
